[SOLVED] Sendig mail in the name from the owner of an shared folder

My Problem

I have 1 mail account that reciepts mails for a project. The inbox folder is shared to other users. Is ther any posibillity for the other users to send mails in the name of the owner from the shared folder without configure an second mailaccount on the mailclient. This should also work in the webmail.

i am using Zimbra OSE 6.0.3 and Zimbra Desktop

you could add a distribution list for it, and put the necessary people in that list. Then each user would add a profile so they can send email from that account. That's how we handle this.

How does this work ?

I make a distribution list than all users in that list get the mails thath was sent to that list.
And how can the users send mails in the name of that list ?
Im not able to send in Zimbra Desktop and in Webmail.

Do i have to configure a secound mailaccount in the Zimbra Desktop ?

You don't have to add a new account. Every user should add a new Persona to its account preferences including e-mail address and Name of the distribution list.

The feature is in the Preferences tab in the user account, it's called 'Persona'.

Also make sure that the "Allow sending email from any address" option in the Admin UI/COS/Preferences tab is enabled so that a user can select this persona a sender.
