Default POP3 and antispam

Hello. A question: if users download messages with the POP3 protocol (so they do not use web interface), will their messages be checked by the antispam or not?
if the answer is yes where wiil the messages be quarantined? Can I retrieve them?
Thanks
Simone

If by 'download with POP3' you mean from the Zimbra server then it will already have passed through the anti-spam system. If you mean by using an external account from the user preferences then no, it won't have passed through the anti-spam system. Details of this are in a bug report in bugzilla.

the answer to that is in the forums including a script to release them.

Adding to what Phoenix said, quarantine mails will be in /opt/zimbra/data/amavisd/quarantine directory.

I can't find that script anywhere! help!
I want to turn on the antispam but I don't know how to release message in case I have false positives.
I repeat, users don't use the web interface, and I don't know what they use at all to download messages from the server!
If the directory is "opt/zimbra/data/amavisd/quarantine" can I release the message with the zmlmtpinject command or not? Is there a better way?
Could somebody help me!?
Thanks
Simone

They're not that difficult to find.

Ok, I see, thank you. But it doesn't look like a clean method. Both threads provide solutions to release false positive virus, not spam messages. Correct?
I realize the best way for me wil be periodically checking the /opt/zimbra/amavisd/quarantine directory for legitimate spam messages, opening the user web interface and release the message from the Junk Folder (my users are not aware of the web interface).
'cause I will see the same spam messages in /opt/zimbra/amavisd/quarantine and the Junk folder, right?
If this is not possible (please let me know) I'll have to set the 'tag percent' at the same value as the 'kill percent', as to not have spam messages delivered to the junk folder. For example I woul set both of them to 75%.
Thanks to everybody who will give me pointers (this is my first Zimbra server and my first Linux Server)!
Simone, from Italy
