Message not showing in preview pane, not opening on double-click.

Hi,

I've been searching on the forums for a while and I have found some issues that seem related but none of them seem exactly the same. So I decided to start a thread about it.

Both one of our clients and I experience the following problem (on different Zimbra servers):

Some messages do not show in the preview pane, instead the pane is left blank. Also if the message is double-clicked it does not open. I can view the contents of the message by right clicking and selecting either "Show original" or "Edit as new".

This all appllies to the AJAX webclient, in the HTML client the messages open normally.

It seems it has soemthing to do with the Content-type which is multipart/mixed;

Here are some of the headers of one such message:

MIME-Version: 1.0
X-RT-Original-Encoding: utf-8
Content-type: multipart/mixed; boundary="----------=_1267601498-31754-2"
Date: Wed, 3 Mar 2010 08:31:38 +0100

This is a multi-part message in MIME format...

Any ideas?

One of the usual suspects in these kind of issues is localization. Are they using a different language and if so have they seen if it happens when set back to english?

Thanks for your reply. I use the english version myself and I see the problem too.

For the client I see slightly different behaviour when switched back to english (they use dutch localization). The message still is not shown in the preview pane. However it does open on double-click, but the message appears to be empty.
