Default Moving away from existing logical volume

Hi

I am new to this issue, I have installed the zimbra into the default logical volume together with the system files in the "/", under "/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00"

I would like to implement backup using logical vol by snapshot and I make to understand that zimbra should be installed as a logical vol by itself. My question is how do I move the /opt/zimbra from the existing logvol to new logvol? would it work if i just move the whole directory "/opt/zimbra" into the new logvol? are there anything else I should be configuring ot change?

If you came across any good documentation on this please let me have the pointer.

Thank you.
