From -field encoding. Displays umlauts as ?

Hi,

our customer has a problem with umlauts in his from (name) -field. His name contains the letter ä, but it shows as ? and in raw source it is =?ANSI_X3.4-1968?Q?Jyrki_M=3Fntyl=3F?=

The same exact problem is mentioned in an old post from 2006: this forum post.

Bug 9051 was mentioned but we are using ZCS 6.0.5 and that bug should be fixed already.

Also, in this forum post the same problem is mentioned but solution was to configure the server's locale. Our locale is en_us-utf8 and that should be ok.

We have multilingual users and don't want to setup our locale as german or finnish.

Any ideas if this is a bug or could we solve this by configuring our server?
