Default Can't send mail with address "user@.com" in zimbra

When I telnet to zimbra, port 25
and send mail with command:
mail from: user@.com
zimbra report: bad sender address
but when I check with other MTA, such as: Mdaemon, argosoft,... every thing is ok, I can send with that address in "mail from " command.
Is this a bug of postfix or zimbra?

That is a malformed email address and is not RFC compliant. Why would you wanting to receive such a email anyway ?

We have a contact center system and our customers always send mail with these addresses. With Mdaemon, SendMail, argsoft we can receive these mails. But when use zimbra, these mails are not received
In the fact, while Mdaemon, Sendmail can do that but zimbra can't?

So, um, tell me: whom would one deliver that email to? (IE: no, this is not Zimbra's fault. The other mail systems shouldn't be accepting it either.)

As already mentioned that is not a valid email address and is not RFC compliant, Zimbra will not accept that and the other mail servers are not RFC compliant and should also not accept it.
