Default just to clarify.. is it safe to edit crontab directly?

Do changes to the zimbra user's crontab get overwritten? I'm just wondering if I can edit it directly for the zmbackup scheduling. I know it says:

Code:
# DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE - edit the master and reinstall.
and:

Code:
# ZIMBRASTART -- DO NOT EDIT ANYTHING BETWEEN THIS LINE AND ZIMBRAEND

Yes. During upgrades.

Should be fairly safe to edit zimbra's crontab, but do use caution.

If you are looking to change the backup schedule, the "zmschedulebackup" tool maybe of interest to you.
