Default Restore mailbox to different account

Version 6.0.4_GA_2038.RHEL5_64.NETWORK

I have a mailbox that has had too many addresses imported. Now the user wants to return to the email addresses he had at an earlier time.

Q: Can I restore his mailbox to a different account so that I can export the earlier address book. Then after deleting the existing address book on the 'real' mailbox, import the old address book?

Am I addressing this correctly? BTW this is a corporate server so permissions, etc. are granted.

Default

yes, part of the restore wizard asks if you want to restore to the original account or another account. The default for the other account is restored_username@domain.com then yeah you can do exactly what you're talking about with exporting/importing
