Default [SOLVED] Integrating getmail and Zimbra FOSS edition.

Hello all,

New here on this community forums.
I have a Zimbra community edition running CentOS5.4 final and it is working fine. It is an internal mail server and is not online. We have email addresses on our organization domain for users. These are POP3 accounts. I want to integrate getmail into it so that I can download all the messages for the users and use Zimbra to send the mails to the internal addresses for every user configured on our internal Zimbra mail server.
The getmail sure does have an option of specifying external MDA. But I am not sure how i am going to use it.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

Cheers,
Chaitanya

All that is explained in the getmail documentation with examples

I have gone through the examples before. But I want to retrieve messages from remote server and use my zimbra server to send them to the local mailboxes. Retrieving is not a problem but sending the retrieved messages using zimbra mta is what I am stucked at.
I need to tell getmail to use external MDA to send the messages. What mda should I tell it to use? External or just the local? Will install getmail on the same machine as Zimbra.
And the internal mailboxes are configured on zimbra itself.

That will be marked as solved now. The path to the sendmail binary installed by zimbra does the job. /opt/zimbra/postfix/sbin/sendmail as external MDA sends all the mails now.
