Default Upgrade from ZCS 4.5.10 Mac OS X to 6.0.5 Ubuntu 8

For various reasons, I'm need to move a ZCS install from ZCS 4.5.10 on Mac OS X 32 bit PPC to 6.0.5 Ubuntu 8 32 bit i386.

I've not been able to find a doc to denote if this is doable, or even a good idea.
Can anyone give any pointers other than copying the /opt/zimbra folder from the old server and trying an install? I was under the impression that settings needed to be read from LDAP which obviously could not be fired up due to the platform change.

I really have little choice here. If I have to, I'll resort to using IMAPsync, but I'd prefer to upgrade if possible.

Read this : Network Edition: Moving from 32-bit to 64-bit Server - Zimbra :: Wiki

Read that good, and verify your paths you are coming from and going to and you'll be fine. Just one thing, you'll need to have the same revision of zcs on both machines.

I'm about to move from Mac 10.5 to Ubuntu and have done this a few times in practice and it works great.
