Default Need help to redirect mails to Zimbra server

Hi,

Atlast! I am succesful in installing the Zimbra server in my Linux machine.

I am new to the concepts of mail server.

Presently my email are coming directly from the external mail host directly to my outlook and vice versa.

mail host server-------->Outlook

Outlook---------->mail host server

Now I would like to redirect the emails in such a way that, all the emails I get from the mail host should come to the zimbra server first and from zimbra server to my outlook. And vice versa.

mail host server-------->zimbra server-------->Outlook

Outlook---------->zimbra server-------->mail host server

I would like to get help in any format. If you can relate any documents for me to follow to achieve the result or what ever it would be helpful is fine.

Regards.

Hi mansuper,
Congrats on your install of ZCS. Linux can be kind of daunting at first.

You would save yourself a lot of trouble if you replaced your "mail host server" with the Zimbra server.

Does someone else host your e-mail server for you?
If they do, do you have a static IP, and own your @domain.com address?
If so, then this shouldn't be that difficult.

If would be a lot more difficult to have zimbra fetch the mail from your other mail server for all of your users that use ZCS.

Am I right in these assumptions?
We will be glad to help you out in any way possible.

John

Thanks for your reply.
You are right. Someone else is hosting my emails.

"Can you tell me how to configure
Incoming mail server (POP3) and Outgoing mail server (SMTP) of Zimbra?"

The reasong why I am asking is I want my zimbra server to talk to the host email server.

The best I could do is to offer this thread:
[SOLVED] Fetchmail from other servers (aka account aggregation)

Perhaps a Zimbra Employee could help more; however, it really isn't designed to fetch mail from "other" servers.

Thank you. I haven't read that. I will do the same. If I find something useful, I will post here my experience.
