Talking Openfiler and zimbra ldap like Greg

Hi evryone,

I'm triyng to set an environement like Greg : UNIX and Windows Accounts in Zimbra LDAP and Zimbra Admin UI 6.0 - Zimbra :: Wiki

I'm using Openfiler to provide Samba and NFS sharing.

I have installed the posix account and Manage samba domains zimlet, but when i try to create a new domain it's give me an error :

Mail : invalid request: createLDAPEntry invalid name: sambaDomainName=administration,dc=fso,dc=ump,dc=ma : [LDAP: error code 34 - invalid DN] Code d'erreur : service.INVALID_REQUEST Method: CreateLDAPEntryRequest Détails :soap:Sender

I don't understand it, is it nesseaseray to install SAMBA in the same server as zimbra mail, or thre is an additional configuration to do to connect Manage samba domains zimlet to my Openfiler SAMBA.

Please help me to solve this problem, or explain to me a procedure to resolve it.

Thanks

You're not going to be able to use the OF samba as that procedure requires you to modify the smb.conf file, OF will overwrite any manual changes you mke to that file. Note the warning from the smb.conf file on OF:
Code:
# PLEASE DO NOT MODIFY THIS CONFIGURATION FILE!
# This configuration file was autogenerated
# by Openfiler. Any manual changes will be overwritten
