Smile IP TABLES Zimbra conf.

HI

I have been reading quite a lot about ip tables but I would like to ask the Forum if is there any proper configuration for ip tables firewall on Zimbra

You might want to search for wiki for ports used by Zimbra and go from there.

I actually used that configuration as example and also resources from Ubuntu website https://help.ubuntu.com/community/IptablesHowTo
All the port for Zimbra are appended in the firewall configuration
But some packets are dropped and from syslog I can see iptables denied entries
I was wandering if someone perhpas has been using ip tables on their system and have some advices....

It's not advisable to run iptables on your Zimbra server though you should have Zimbra behind a firewall.

Please post some log information about the errors you are seing. Iptables works just fine with me. Use the ports and allow TCP destination ACCEPT on them.
