Default TLS and clear text authentication

Hello everyone,

We have setup around 1000 users ( 3 different domain ) on zimbra box and everything is working very fine. But in basic installation we kept clear text authentication.

Now I want to enable TLS authentication with IMAP/POP3 with SSL. But if i enable it it will be downtime for my customers as they are using outlook. They have to do changes in outlook configuration to update new communication ports. I will inform them in advance for the activity but there are 100 % chances that few user may be wont follow the instructions..

So higher management want to know is there any possibility in zimbra that we can use encrypted and unencrypted cmmunication at a time. and we will find out the users who are still using 25 and 143 and ask them to change the port to 465 and 993.

So there wont be any donwtime for any user. so pls let me know is there any provision to use 25,110,143,465,993,995 ports at a same time after enabling TLS??

Please confirm and help.

As long as you set the parameters in the Admin GUI correctly you should be fine.
