Default ZuckerExchange and Zimbra

I am currently looking at ZuckerExchange which requires "Form based authentication" (which is OWA I think)?

Can somebody please confirm/deny if it is worth evaluating - as far as I know OWA does not work on Zimbra NE prior spending time for a test installation.

ZuckerExchange is (as the name suggests) for Exchange, not ZCS...
If you don't have an Exchange server, you can not use it.

What a shame, the features are looking promising and I thought it might make use of standard protocols to connect to "Exchange" services...

But you are right - also a connector (ZCB) is needed to get BES services with Zimbra.

I know there's currently no zimlet for SugarCRM but I do think this is the way to go.

Well, there is the Datasync project around - which I personally do not think a valid option for us. I would clearly prefer a syncserver doing it's job silently in the background.

If I would have some more resources I would get deeper into SOAP and zimlets (already did a one-way-sync from SugarCRM to Zimbra). But time is always an issue!

Without going off topic I think SugarCRM integration would be fantastic. Already have one issue of how to allow our clients to manage their contacts which will be held in a central LDAP repository.

So far I did the following:

1. Zimbra LDAP authentication for SugarCRM users
2. Created a "Send to Zimbra address book" button in SugarCRM using SOAP (currently broken due to ZCS 6.0 update)
3. Running daily updates on added contacts
4. Creating a separate LDAP based on Apache DS "on-the-fly" from SugarCRM on a daily base
5. Included the secondary LDAP from SugarCRM into GAL lookup and tweaked the filter to also find accounts

I would love (even pay some money) to see something more sophisticated like the ZuckerExchange!

Does anybody has information if the BES 5 compatibility may bring OWA to Zimbra? This would be "zwei Fliegen mit einer Klappe" in terms of SugarCRM/ZuckerExchange and BES Express!
