mails deferred

Some of my mails are deferred due to the following reasons.The log says as

lost connection with xxx.com[198.124.99.1] while receiving the initial server greeting

I checked the forum for similar problemsbut couldnt settle te problem.
Hope for all of your help.

What have you actually tried to resolve this problem such as a telnet to that server? Could it be another problem with your firewall like your last thread?

Te firewall especially the antispam and antivirus has been disabled.I tried using the following link some modifications
[SOLVED] Problems sending mails
All other mails are delivered but some of them still seen in the mailqueue showing the above error.

I can telnet to the server.
But mails are deferred.
