Testing Zimbra - Dual Delivery?

Strangely, Im not seeing it.. but I do see the email to my yahoo account.. I tried the


zmprov ma user@example.com zimbraMailTransport smtp:mail.example.com:25

but that just sends it to sendmail and doesnt send to zimbra.. its very strange, as the domain has the zimbraMailTransport set to my primary domain mta, but it still wont work.. according to the split-domain document, this should be working. I just double checked my settings against the document, and they are exact... however, when zimbra user sends to zimbra user - the mail ends up in zimbra, and is not also forwarded to sendmail... boo. I really need for it to do this during testing and migration.

also - with the zimbraMailTransport switched for the user, it just keeps resending the mail over.. and over to sendmail.. Must be some sort of mail routing loop... so i am sorta stuck.

The problem is that both servers are authoritative for the domain. So which ever MTA receives the email it will believe it needs to be delivered locally.

Well.. I was able to create a forwarder on my sendmail that sends mail to an account there to forward on to my zimbra server.. This will keep mail on sendmail and send to zimbra no matter who it comes from (even those inside the sendmail domain) . However, when sending zimbra to zimbra - it never leaves zimbra... unless i specifically change mailtransport in zimbra to sendmail. This seems to create a loop, though - and the message keeps getting sent over and over again to sendmail - and never ends up in zimbra. Its very odd. I wouldnt have thought this so difficult.
