| | | [SOLVED] Shared folders and IMAP clients All our employees use either Apple Mail or Outlook to access Zimbra.
Recently, Marsha left the company and her assistant Greg assumed her job. I would like to give Greg read only access to Marsha's email. What is the best way to do that? Simply sharing the folders did not make them show up in the IMAP client.
Thanks. |

| | | I assume Outlook is accessing via IMAP, not ZCO.
If you share the folder from Marsha to Greg and you mount it in Zimbra Web Client in Greg's account then it should appear in Greg's IMAP client. Note that some IMAP clients (but not Mac Mail) allow you to decide at the client side which folders, of those available to the account, to subscribe to. |

| | | Does it work if we're using ZCO? If so, how?
Thanks, |

| | | Yes, with ZCO if someone shares a folder with you, you just go to File...Open...Other User's Folder and select that user. You'll then have access to everything they've shared with you. |

| | | So is it possible with Mac Mail? |

| | | Yes, Mac Mail, if configured as IMAP, will automatically access any folders that you've mounted via the web client. You can't directly mount a shared folder via Mac Mail, though--you have to use the web interface. |

| | | So, there is no way to see shared&accepted folder through Apple Mail client, with IMAP configuration? |
