On our 5.0.19 boxes, it is sufficient to add the 'score FH_DATE_PAST_20XX 0.0' line to local.cf in /opt/zimbra/conf/spamassassin/
To be on the safe side, we edited the '72_active.cf' rule, too.

Correct iway; always adding to local.cf should be just fine.

It has been fixed in the core SA files so if you are running sa-update you should be fine
    Code:
    ##{ FH_DATE_PAST_20XX
    header FH_DATE_PAST_20XX Date =~ /20[2-9][0-9]/ [if-unset: 2006]
describe FH_DATE_PAST_20XX The date is grossly in the future.
    ##} FH_DATE_PAST_20XX

    Default SpamAssassin Y2K10 Bug Announced

Doh! All mail after 12:01 January 1 gets a 3.6 point bump.

Apache SpamAssassin Y2K10 Rule Bug - Update Your Rules Now!

I added the recommended fix to /opt/zimbra/conf/salocal.cf and restarted zimbra.

BTW - I tried to run sa-update and it threw errors.

I think you'll find this has already been covered: http://www.zimbra.com/forums/adminis...ing-today.html

    Opps. Thanks.

Anyone know what the plans are for sa-update, if any?

It's packaged in the 6.x version: Bug 27844 – Please provide sa-update and spamassassin command line tools

Do you mean running sa-update or getting sa-update with Zimbra? If you mean running it then the rules should have been updated at spamassassin so running sa-update shouldn't be a problem. If you mean getting sa-update with Zimbra then it's available from 6.x.
    Regards

I see that it's there, but it doesn't even seem to work for me. I added a comment to Bug 27844 – Please provide sa-update and spamassassin command line tools

    Default SA bug

    In /opt/zimbra/config/spamassin/72_active.cf
    Code:
    ##{ FH_DATE_PAST_20XX
    header FH_DATE_PAST_20XX Date =~ /20[1-9][0-9]/ [if-unset: 2006]^M
describe FH_DATE_PAST_20XX The date is grossly in the future.^M
    ##} FH_DATE_PAST_20XX
It is "TRUE" as of Jan. 1, 2010, need to change to a more current/realistic value.

    I'm trying;
    Code:
    ##{ FH_DATE_PAST_20XX
    header FH_DATE_PAST_20XX Date =~ /20[2-9][0-9]/ [if-unset: 2006]^M
describe FH_DATE_PAST_20XX The date is grossly in the future.^M
    ##} FH_DATE_PAST_20XX
Severial internal zimbra -> admin e-mails were flaged as SPAM
