logger stopped by itself

hi All

The logger on my Zimbra server (3.1 on Fedora4) has a habit of stopping by itself.
I cannot find anything in the zimbra.log.

Does anything have the same problem and the solution?

Bug 6616 - log rotation seems to break swatch - fix logrotate.d entry


for now, kill logswatch and tail processes, delete /opt/zimbra/log/logswatch.pid if it exists, then run zmlogswatchctl start

no. have you looked at that bug? some logs get rotated at 2:30am (crontab -l | grep '30 2') and the logger is still trying to watch the old log file. it's fixed for the next release (zcs 3.2). in the meantime, follow the steps above to get it going again

After I had started zmlogzmlogswatchctl, Zimbra logger operated normally for some days. Then, it failed again. I don't know what is reason. Please help me.

logger stops by ifself on 2:30 am. I try to check in log file and i only see "logger: Stopped" which no any errors happen. When i try "zmcontrol status" command, i receive "zmlogswatchctl is not running". And i must start zmlogswatchctl again. After some days (about 10 days), it's stopped again.
I had to learn about this bug and it said "log rotation seems to break swatch - fix logrotate.d entry". Please show me how to fix this entry.
