You know, for $30 for a new GoDaddy SSL cert... why not just get a new commercial cert and forget about trying to resurrect the existing certs?
And if you absolutely have to have the server up today, what about blowing away the existing certs and installing a new set of self-signed certs until the GoDaddy certs arrive?
It's clear the cert situation is wonky on that box; my gut tells me a "clean slate" approach would likely serve your best interests.
