Default Change domain on Global Address List

Hello!

Im in serious problem here..

I have an external MTA, and Zimbra after it..
So the domain of my zimbra is "zimbra.local"
When I send e-mails from Zimbra (to my domain) it goes by the external MTA (all OK).

But I need that in GAL of Zimbra to show my users @mydomain not @zimbra.local
Becouse when I send to user@zimbra.local it uses the local MTA.

Please, very important to fix this!! (if it has a fix)

Thanks!!

I think you are looking for
Code:
zmprov renameDomain -l zimbra.local domain.com
That will replace all the zimbra.local configuration with domain.com, and will update all of the users too.

Depending on your naming setup, there may need to be some DNS entries modified as well, but I can't really tell from your post.

I had a similar issue and ended up having to rename my domain to match the external domain.

Apart from the issue you have already identified - using a local MTA - I discovered an even more critical issue. When a local user creates an appointment to share with external users - the email addresses for all of the internal attendees can be seen in the appointment, and they are the internal addresses. If anyone external tries to use them, they will obviously bounce.

So -I had to rename my domain. (Beware that the users I had prior to the rename still show up in AutoComplete as their old addresses now - as well as their new ones. Still troubleshooting that.)

Under servers, I configured and incoming and outgoing relay MTA

Was there a particular reason you do not want any internal mail to be sent by the local MTA ?
