Default [SOLVED] server caches

Hi guys, i got a question, since my ram on my zimbra server is getting small i want to know if there is a way to clean some of this ram on a produccion enviorment, is there a manual task that can achieve it?

I'm using zimbra 5.0.18 oss thanks any help

If I understand:
-There is no way to do that. The OS will done it for you when necessary

thanks your replay dalmate, well i thoght the same way to but it would be interesting to have an idea of wich is the executable file wich does this operation, so it could be simply to run this some times, the main problem is ram well as we know ram is not a big problem now a days, but this customer has a very old blade center wich only support 12 gb tops of ram, zimbra is virtualized in tow machines on the same server so we have:

zimbra ldap 5 gb
zimbra mailbox 5 gb

phisical machine 2 gb

my suggestion was to have 8 gb minimum for mailbox but as i said it cannot grows, so one option is to clear caches sometimes, any other idea?

Ok, If you want you can try this topic, but I recommend that let's give this job for OS Linux: How To Clear The Cache From Memory and drop_caches | LinuxInsight
