Default Zimbra mailbox crashing

Hi Guys,

Ive just done a fresh install and im having abit of issues with mailbox crashing. From experiment, i can see that zimbra crashes when i play around with zimbraAdmin console alot i.e logging in logging off, navigating between different sections of zimbraAdmin. I notice sometimes that there is a huge delay clicking between different menus, maybe the server is doing some processing im not sure. My system is currently running 1GB of memory. Can this be the only reason for this problem?

Thanks

Yes, that can be one of the reasons but not the only reason. Your machine is below the recommended specifications, I'd suggest you upgrade the RAM. If you're behind a NAT router then you'll need a Split DNS set-up and a valid hosts file, do you have one and is the hosts file correct?

When you encounter problems you should check the log files and also search the forums as most questions about this type of problem have already been answered.

Thanks Phoenix for the reply.

Im in the process of upgrading the ram from 1GB to 4GB. Ive managed to locate the section in my mailbox.log when the mailbox service crashes, but i cant seem to make sense of it. Would it help if i were to post the those messages here?

Thanks

Yes, you can post it here but the likelihood is it's caused by lack of RAM.

Just to give an over summary:
Version: Release 6.0.2_GA_1912.DEBIAN5_64 DEBIAN5_64 FOSS edition.

Everytime it happens, when i check zmcontrol status, all services are still running but in the event that it occurs, mailbox is stoped. Once i stop and start the services again, zimbra is back to normal.

In order to invoke the problem, i decided to send 10 emails simultaneously and indeed the mailbox and stopped. Here is the extract as soon as the email starts receiving the request:
