Just tested with IE on my 6.0.2 Zimbra Test server and auto spell-check worked fine.
What version of IE are you using?
You say you don't get the error message with Firefox, but is auto spell-check working? If you misspell a word and try to send the message with Firefox does it pop the message saying there are misspellings?
Sounds like the known problem with UTF-8 text suggestion. Workaround is described in the following thread:
i18n spell checker + mail scrolling
Thanks for the help guys. It looks like if we turn the spell-checker off, and then turn it back on, the error goes away.
We confirmed that this occured in IE6, IE7 and IE 8, but not Firefox.
