Mailbox stuck in maint mode and backup stalled

Running 5.0.18

Full backup from Saturday has been stuck on same user for 2 days. User cannot get mail due to maintenance mode.

Have tried zmbackupabort. Backup still thinks it is running.
Tried zmprov to take the user out of maintenance mode, the account is still in maint...

Any help would be much appriciateed.
