Question zmprov hang

I updated my certificates yesterday, everything seems to work when I start up the server, but after a short while I can no longer access webmail and zmprov command hangs.

Not sure whats going on or where to look.

zmcontrol status says everything is running and IMAP services are working from remote clients, but the webmail client hangs.

Also, I get an error immediately logging into the admin web server (before it freezes) saying zimbraLogHost is null. I set it using zmlocalconfig, but I still get the error.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Is this a multi-server install? Do you see any errors in /opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log or /var/log/zimbra.log?

No, its a single server and no errors in either of those log files. In fact, it continues to process incoming message, its just the web client and the zmprov server? has hung. Obviously related, but not sure how.

Its been working for a few days now, as long as I don't try to view the message queue, which I think was the source of the hang on Friday/Saturday

Well IMAP access would be handled by postfix, whereas the webui is handled by jetty running in a java instance. zmprov is also a java utility, and I think it hooks into the running java instance.

So it sounds like something is up with the java process to me, but I'm not sure how you would debug that if you aren't seeing any errors in the logs....

Thats a good help. At least I know where to look. There must be some jetty or tomcat log somewhere.

I'm pretty sure that installing the new certificate caused this somehow.
