java process is taking 80% memory utilization

Hi,

I installed zimbra on sentos. As i monitored the machine with top command it is showing that java process in zimbra is taking 70% memory & CPU utilization. Kindly let me know how to tune zimbra process.

There are some tweaks that can be made, but it's normally fine in the default configuration.

How much memory do you actually have in the server anyway, and what's the processor power like?

2gb of memory, 4gb swap,
two processors.....

Also Sending you the out-put of top command---As mysqld & java continuously taking 60% to 70% CPU utilization.

There is a reason the minimum required RAM for a production environment is 2 GB...

Zimbra will use the available ram in the system, for example on my system with 4GB of RAM it is using 3.5 GB of it for caching among other things.

Do you see the high CPU load shortly upon restarting zimbra, or
does it seem to run fine (processing normal loads happily)
and then start burning CPU cycles? Look at
your log files for entries before and after the CPU kicks up and you
might find something informative.
