Default Account directory

where can i find the directory/file where mail accounts is stored, i want to create more accounts using putty ssh utility, because i'm unable to access admin console from internet explorer

I'd suggest you find out what the problem is with using the Admin UI in IE or use Firefox instead. You can create user accounts using the command line with zmprov, search the forums or wiki for some details.

i have a backup on another hard drive that does'nt boot up, where is the mail accounts stored in - directory/file and how can i import the accounts

What is the problem with your current server and why are you trying to import the mail? What sort of backup did you take?
