Default Zimbra and DSPAM

Hello,

I followed Zimbra Administrator's guide to turn on DSPAM, precisely, I did:

su - zimbra
zmlocalconfig -e amavis_dspam_enabled=true
zmamavisdctl stop && zmamavisdctl start

However, dspam does not appear in e-mail headers, nor does amavis report finding dspam. Dspam became uncommented in amavisd.conf though after these commands. I found out, that /opt/zimbra/dspam/bin/dspam was executable only by root. I changed that to zimbra, but that did not help.

I tried both on Network Edition Professional and on Open Source edition with the same result. Is something else required to start using DSPAM?

Thank you,

Juraj.

Search the forums for 'dspam' & 'permissions'.

Default permissions

I found out that the permissions bug should be fixed in bugzilla, but it seems it is not. Anyways, I did chown -R zimbra:zimbra /opt/zimbra/dspam* and it did not help, so it's probably not only permissions problem.

Anyone tried to turn on DSPAM on 6.x and can help?

DSPAM is working for me by enabling it and setting the correct permissions, what errors do you see in the log files? I assume you restarted amavis or Zimbra after making the changes?
