I am reading this Open Source Edition Backup Procedure - Zimbra :: Wiki and i was wondering if the backup proceeds there will just back email and email acccounts only and not configurations for the FOSS version..
The reason i ask, is that i may an error somewhere in the configuration of a zimbra box i have and i really want to do a fresh install, reconfigure and just restore email and mail accounts..
Is this possible?
the cold restore from the full backup will overwrite everything on target so yes its not just email and accounts its everything.
* if this backup was "working" then you could run 2 parellel systems..old and new and imapsync or use other mail migration methods mentioned in the fourms, you can search the fourms for lots of ways.

I can not run parallel systems.. its only one machine i have.
Are there any work arounds?
