having the same issues was pointed here by another thread. I'm pretty new to Linux so advanced pardon for my ignorance. I don't have a /etc/rsyslog.conf on my sles 10 32 bit install. Does that mean i need to install something or is it simply named something else in this distro? I do however have a syslog.conf.

I solved with this
as root :
apt-get install rsyslog
/opt/zimbra/bin/zmsyslogsetup

restart zimbra : zmcontrol stop and zmcontrol start

It's work for me very well.
I have same problem with Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit
Release 6.0.8_GA_2661.UBUNTU10_64 UBUNTU10_64 FOSS edition.
But I do not have this file - /opt/zimbra/bin/zmsyslogsetup, where can I find?
