Default zmstat.out has 2.8GB !?

I disabled zmlogger and it seems that the file is not growing any longer.

Anybody knows about this bug? Can I safely delete zmstat.out to free diskspace?

thnx

I have a similar problem.
Here you can find some more information - Server Statistics display only "no data available" after update 5.16 to 6.0

Hi, same problem on my Release 6.0.3_GA_1915.UBUNTU6, just installed. Deleted 5 GB worth of "Use of uninitialized value in subtraction (-) at /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmstat-allprocs line 118" by deleteing zmstat.out, now growing again. Any tricks?

Thanks!

Have either of you filed a bug in Bugzilla Main Page - Zimbra?

(after searching to make sure it doesn't exist already of course)

Who knows? Nobody seems to have filed a bug report and without that nothing will be done to investigate the problem.

FWIW, on my system the zmstat.out is 156 bytes in size and I haven't seen the problem mentioned here on any of my 6.0.x installs.

Same here. Before upgrading to 6.0.2, we had the file growing with different lines, but in 6.0.2 we get gigabytes of the following line only:

Use of uninitialized value in subtraction (-) at /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmstat-allprocs line 118.

Then feel free to file a bug report, it won't get looked at if you don't.

The bug isn't the error message itself it's the fact the log file keeps growing and a bug report needs to be filed for it so a fix can be provided.
