backing up briefcase, documents.. should it work?

did full backup, deleted some documents/briefcase on single user, tried to restore.

documents didn't came back.. should it restore those as well?

it works if I:

- first do full backup
- then delete the account
- then restore it

it won't work if I:

- do full backup
- delete something (eg. some files)
- restore it

am I doing something wrong here perhaps?

It's never good practice to restore to an active account, it's always advisable restore to a different account and copy the required files across.
