Have you tried looking in /opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log?

I believe Zimbra have enough number of open files at 385189.

If you have changed something like in the skins, make sure that you have reverted back the ownership of the files to zimbra user.

Things will not work if files that is suppose to be owned by zimbra is not owned by zimbra user.

Hope this helps... :-)
