Default iPhone Calendar incorrect times

Hi All,

I currently have:

Mac OS X 10.6.1
iCal Version 4.0 (1362)
iPhone Version 3.1.2
Zimbra Version 5.0.19

Time Zone +10GMT Brisbane/Australia enabled on everything

I have an appointment that appears correct in Zimbra Webmail and iCal however on my iPhone it is 1 hour behind. I have time zone support enabled in iCal and have the correct time zone in my Zimbra preferences and whether I enable time zone support or not on my iPhone it does not make a difference. I have temporarily had to change my Time Zone on my iPhone calendar to Sydney as they are currently in daylight savings in order to have the correct appointment times.

Example: Appointment scheduled for 13:00 today would be correct in iCal and Webmail Calendaring however it would show as 12:00 today on the iPhone.

This issue seems to be isolated to iPhone 3.1.2 fw only as users on 3.1 (or below) do not seem to have this problem.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Shan

Shan,

Did you ever find a resolution to this issue? I am experiencing it too. iCAL and Zimbra look okay, but it is an hour off on the iPhone. What gives? MacBook Pro running 10.6.2 and iPhone 3.1.2

Thanks,
Chris

Unfortunately this is still an ongoing issue and our management team have had no choice but to look at alternatives. I'm currently setting up Exchange 2010 (as much as I despise this) in a test environment as there simply are too many issues with Zimbra to resolve

Just an update on what we're running now:

Mac OS X 10.6.2
iCal Version 4.0.1 (1374)
iPhone Version 3.1.2
Zimbra Version 6.0.3 NE

I thought that our upgrade to Zimbra 6.x would resolve this issue but it still hasn't

Have you actually raised a support case for this problem?

Hi Bill,

I did quite a while ago Case 00027017 but it was because it was adding an additional 10 hours as we're in GMT+10. The problem we are experiencing now is very similar and we didn't find a solution last time but more a work around which is what I've had to do again

It seems ok for now and everyone is using the work around temporarily...wondering once day light savings finishes in other states in Australia that the problem will be resolved itself.

Thanks anyways

Shannon.

There is an easy resolution to this. The problem is in the time zone settings on your iphone. I had the same issue.

Fix:
1. choose the general settings icon
2. choose mail, contact, calendars
3. scroll down to calendars menu and choose time zone support
4. type in a city in your actual time zone.
5. back your way out through the menus as usual.

When you open up the calendar on your iphone, the problem should be resolved.

Hope It Works,
Asquared
