external GAL - Searchbase to browse everything ?

Hi,

i would like to set the searchbase of the external GAL so that it browses everything. In ldapsearch it is easy, you don't specify a "-b" parameter and it does what i want but Zimbra does not accept a blank searchbase (invalid request: must specifiy: zimbraGalLdapSearchBase).

I am not an ldap specialist so i don't know what to enter to make it start the requests at the top level: <something>=top/root

I must be a bit thick cause i don't understand how it solves my issue, i have an external ldap so the ROOT trick does not work and the base = "" does not work neither with my version of Zimbra. It's good to know though.

Did you mean that i should just vote for the bug and wait ?
