Default Webdav Subfolders (WinXP & Win7)

Hi there,

I'm able to connect to webDAV (Zimbra CS 6.0) from within Win XP and Win 7 RC (see specs below). I'm having the followinging problems:

I've shared a folder Team within a distribution list. All members can see the folder within Zimbra. On the network-share the folder is visible. But all sub-folders are not accessible, i.e:

So Team/Projects becomes Team/TeamProjects.

Also Win7 shows all shared folders twice?

Does anyone has these problems to? Thanks!

Connect Details:

Win XP:
  1. Install update:Download details: Software Update for Web Folders (KB907306)
  2. Start -> Run -> regedit
  3. Quote:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\WebClient\Parameters
  4. UseBasicAuth -> Change to 1
  5. Added new D-WORD value: FileAttributesLimitInBytes
  6. Give FileAttributesLimitInBytes value 20000
  7. Open Network Locations
  8. Add new network location
  9. Use this url:

Win 7
  1. Start -> Run -> Services.msc
  2. Start Webclient service, make it start automatically.
  3. Start -> Run -> regedit
  4. Quote:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\WebClient\Parameters
  5. UseBasicAuth -> Change to 2
  6. start IE8 ->Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections -> LAN settings / Automatic configuration -> Switch off Automaticaly detect setting
  7. Start -> Run -> cmd
  8. Quote:
    net stop Webclient
  9. Quote:
    net start Webclient
  10. Now you have a share.

Win 7

net use * http://full.domain.name/dav/username/
I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to note that this is the first time I've thought to use the normal web address with net use to get webdav to work on win7 and vista. The best part of course is that it worked for me.

Previously I've used the example of \\zimbra.example.com@80\DavWWWRoot\dav\user.name<w ithout-domain-name> within the gui wizard and net use and that still did not work. (as noted in the zimbra wiki WebDAV - Zimbra :: Wiki)

Your example of a straight URL does the trick!
