Default POP3 on Thunderbird with AVG question

Not really an installation issue but I didn't see anything about this in any of the threads. New Zimbra install on RHEL4 and everything seems to be working fairly well so far. I'm not really a webmail guy and prefer consolodating everything into Thunderbird (XP Pro) using POP. Can collect my Zimbra e-mail just fine using TB but I'd like to have it processed by my AVG virus scan too. I'm fairly experienced with AVG... getting a connection refused error when AVG tries to connect to Zimbra. Wondering if anyone else has already overcome this problem.

In AVG: fixed host = myhost.com:7995
local port 5102 (5100 & 5101 already in use for other servers)
connection SSL
Un-editable field = Server: "127.0.0.1:5102", Login: "User"

In TB: port = 5102
Use secure conenction = never

TIA!
