Default Add email addy to safe sender?

I have one user who cannot receive email from a particular address due to it not recognized the hostname. Is there a way I can allow that specific address to be received?

I'm not sure if I understand your question but you can add a domain name with the Administration Console.

Ok, sorry, let me clarify.
Our user, user1@mycompany.com, cannot receive emails from someoneelse@someothercompany.com. It gets rejected at the server level with unknown hostname.

How can I flag all emails coming from someoneelse@someothercompany.com as safe to receive?

You've got a restriction in your Admin UI to reject servers that greet with an unknown hostname, you need to remove that setting.

Yes, we have that setting for a reason though. I want to keep that retriction but whitelist certain addresses. Possible?

There's an awful lot of mis-configured mail servers out there, I'd suggest removing that restriction.

Ok, still having this issue. I found this link regarding whitelisting, but every time I make the change to amavis.conf, then restart, it removes my entry. Any thoughts?

As phoenix said... there are a LOT of valid email servers that are configured improperly due to people not knowing what they are doing. I also recommend you disable that option, or contact the admin of that server and tell them they need to review their DNS setup.

As for changing amavisd.conf .... just like every other .conf file that has a matching .conf.in file you need to make your changes to amavisd.conf.in as the amavisd.conf file is re-written every time the process is started.
