[SOLVED] database errors found - corrupt mail_item

Hi,

An urgent problem on my production server.
Zimbra stopped working all of a sudden.

/opt/zimbra/mysql/bin/mysqlcheck --defaults-file=/opt/zimbra/conf/my.cnf -S /opt/zimbra/db/mysql.sock -A -C -s -u root --password=xxxxxxxxxxxxx --auto-repair

gives:

mboxgroup3.mail_item
error : Corrupt
mboxgroup3.mail_item
note : The storage engine for the table doesn't support repair

I'm running Release 5.0.18_GA_3011.UBUNTU6_64 UBUNTU6_64.

Please help.

Hmm, I'm getting loads of java segmentation faults. Something's terribly wrong here. It happened overnight.

whats logged in mysql_error.log ?

It turned out that the hard disk had problems. Should have done an fsck first!
