authehticate aliases

I authetenicate my drupal users against zimbra. If I have a user in the domain (e.g. domain.xxx) everything works fine.

If there is a a user who has only an alias in this domain authentication does not work. In regular zimbra this works.

As a workarround I use as DN only dc=xxx. Tis works for all Zimbra users, but this is not what i want.

Any idea how I could solve this problem?
