    Default [SOLVED] Invalid DN syntax ZCS 6.0.1

    Hi,
    I have some xerox printers looking in zimbra ldap as anonymous in version 5, after upgrade i have the following error message when trying to connect to zimbra ldap

    [ERROR 34] Invalid DN syntax

    I have used the command to get zimbra ldap user and password,
    zmlocalconfig -s | grep ldap

    zimbra_ldap_user = zimbra
    zimbra_ldap_password = xxxxxxxxx

    But keep getting this error, any sugestions how can o fix this?
    Thanks

    What is the DN you are trying to bind as?

    That's not a valid DN that I'm aware of. Where did you get that from? I suggest you look at the DN in the localconfig key zimbra_ldap_userdn

    Hi,
    Sorry for late reply, i got that from a similar issue presented here in the forum.
    I'm trying to connect to ldap using Softerra LDAP Browser 2.6 successful.
    But my issue is with a Xerox MFP it was working with ldap in v5 as anonymous, the only limitation was a iptables rule that only allowed ldap from those MFP.
    In v6 im having an error LDAP server not found, i have double checked and everything is ok aparently.
    The config options i have is as follows,

    Im using the username and password for zimbra user to access LDAP.

    Thanks for your help.

    I don't see a host IP/address in your screenshot, I'm assuming that's something you did before posting deliberately.

    Does the LDAP server log anything at a 256 loglevel when the system tries to connect?

    slapd logs to /var/log/zimbra.log. You'll want to adjust the log level to be more verbose. Since you are running 6.0.1, you can simply modify the "ldap_common_loglevel" key with zmlocalconfig, and it'll automatically take care of it for you within 2-3 minutes.

    Have you increased the logging (as you were asked in the previous post) and checked the logs for more detail?
