zimbra uses too much resource?

Hi all!
When use Zimbra version 6.0.0
I saw that zimbra used too much cpu and rams
even when i did nothing but cpu was alway in 50-60%( sometimes up to 100%)
How do i do to reslove this?
I disabled zmlogger
My server:
cpu: dual core 3GHz
ram: 2Gb
HDD: 500GB
I'v test on another server:
CPU: singlt core 2Ghz
ram: 1GB
HDD: 300GB
the same
but when I disable zmlogger--> cpu: 5-20%
So I think maybe the problem is Hardware, too?

i had (have) the same issue, i suppose zimbra is already on it. there are other posts about this issue.

i'm running zimbra in VMware 3.5.

after 6.0.0 CPU went up alot here, disabling zmlogger improved it. web interface was sloooow. one time zmlogger got stuck and the CPU went upto 100%. i had to kill the process.

after 6.0.1 CPU is still high but less then before (2nd picture) and web interface response much quicker then before. at this moment zmlogger is still running but i don't see any statistics in de admin console. much better with 6.0.1 now.

we have been working with the zimbra devs and support on a cpu usage issue for the zimbra mailbox java process. The sympton is that java threads spiral out of control and just take all the CPU of the box eventually. I don't think you have the same issue, so you need to produce zmdiaglog outputs and post it to zimbra support via a ticket, or lodge a bug maybe. Our issue was solved eventually by fixing jetty handling the ZCO disconnects correctly (I think)

Oh, in the second server, I did some changes and now:
cpu usage: ~5% (do not thing)
but on the first server, did same thing
cpu usage : ~ 55%
I think maybe zimbra has problem with system has dual core cpu?

we have been troubleshooting this issue from 6.0RC1 through to 6.0.1.
apparently the fix for jetty may be in 6.0.2, but not sure yet. Certainly in the patch we have, the performance of the server is drastically better (load average spikes of 20-30 down to 0.8)

Hi Lars,
a question (not related to your CPU load) : how do you get the picture out of your zimbra? It seems you have many tabs with many different graphics. I would be interested in having a similar setup for my stats

I think this should answer your question.

I'm tested with ZCS GA 6.0.1
Install zimbra on:
-server 1: single core
-Server 2: dual core
-Server 3: single core uses HyperThreading technology
and:
-Server1+2:Ok when disable zmlogger
-Server 3: always over 50% CPU, disable zmlogger
==> I think ZCS has problems with cpu uses HyperThreading Technology?
