    Default Not receiving email

    hi,
I just installed Zimbra, have it up and working. My only issue is receiving email. I can send email to outside domains, but when I send to internal it shows as sent, but the user does not receive it. I have also tried sending email from webmail clients as gmail, and yahoo. The mail does not show up. This is from /var/log/zimbra.log when I send from internal to internal. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

    Code:

Are DNS Lookups enabled in the admin UI?

Yes, DNS looksups are turned on.

This box is behind a firewall/router. In setup, it could not match the DNS name(which has an external ip) to the internal IP of the box. Would this have anything to do with not receiving email. We have checked, and the router is correctly forwarding port 25 through.

    Thanks,
    ds

I just saw a sticky about DNS under the Administrators Forum. So, that sounds like what the problem is. Do I have to use Bind and named to be able to run zimbra?

    Thanks,

Your Zimbra server needs to be addressable via DNS records so the quick (and easiest) thing to do is run a local DNS server. You can set-up bind fairly easily following the instruction in the thread you found (I guess it's 'DNS in a nutshell'?).
