Default [SOLVED] ZCS6: Problem with Samba zimlet

Hi everybody,

I am upgrading my server to version 6.

Everything seems to be working (after following some useful wiki about ldap conversion), except the samba zimlet.

When I log into the admin UI, I get 2 error messages
Quote:
Warning! Failed to create ou=groups,dc=test,dc=com for Samba groups!

Warning! Failed to create ou=machines,dc=test,dc=com for Samba machine accounts!
Then there is no domain under the menu "Manage samba domains". When I try to add it with its name and SID, I get an error
Quote:
Mail : invalid request: createLDAPEntry dn not found: dc=test,dc=com[LDAP: error code 32 - No Such Object] Code d'erreur : service.INVALID_REQUEST Method: CreateLDAPEntryRequest Détails :soap:Sender
Of course, dc=test,dc=com corresponds to nothing....

Everything was working with version 5.0.18

I checked the files smb.conf, ldap.conf and ldap.conf.ini but I cannot find anything with "dc=test,dc=conf"...

Any help would be appreciated, since I begin to be short with new ideas
I think it should be a very simple thing, but I cannot find.

For information I use ZCS6.0.1 with Debian5

Many thanks in advance !!!

EDIT: reinstalled zimlet, samba schema, restarted everything and it works.

Can you please expand on what you did?

When you reinstalled the samba schema what did you do step by step?

I tried reinstalling the samba admin zimlet but it didnt make a difference and also tried to deploy the 6.0 samba files and got a deploy failure.

Anything you can add would be appreciated.

thanks

never mind. I discovered that the zimbra_samba.zip file must be named exactly that or it doesnt deploy. A tail -f /opt/zimbra/log/*.log while trying to deploy revealed this to me.
