A simple list of contacts and GAL

I have ZCS Network Edition Release 5.0.15. and I need to customize the template for view / printing the contacts and the GAL.
I Have to print a simple list with some field (name, surname, office, telephone, fax) instead of the report generated by Zimbra web client.
I would also like to access at the GAL list with a direct link located in the
contacts section of the left column.

I also have users that would like to have the GAL listed as one of their Address Books. Is there a way to do this?

I am going to guess that there is no way to have the GAL in the address book in 5.x. It looks like that capability was added in in 6.0. Zimbra Product Portal (Requirement #30).
