Default Samba + Zimbra: problems logging into samba/unix

Hi.
I'm still having troubles implementing
UNIX and Windows Accounts in Zimbra LDAP and Zimbra Admin UI 6.0 - Zimbra :: Wiki

Now I managet to get at 99%. Everything looks fine, just unix users are missing.
When I try smbclient I get the following:
Code:
[2009/09/09 20:24:58, 1] auth/auth_util.c:make_server_info_sam(562)
User luca in passdb, but getpwnam() fails!
I correctly see the user using
Code:
getenv passwd
I can login into Zimbra using that user, but when I try to su - luca system says the id is unknown.

I've been told on IRC it could be a PAM problem. I double checked all my conf files but yet it's not working.

Any idea?
thanks
maxxer

Default

a reboot "fixed" this issue, probably an nsdc issue...

but right now I get a samba crash.
looks like i'm cursed!

Code:
