my zimbra can't send mail

My zimbra mail server can't not send or reply to external mail, what should I do?

Provide a bit more information

su - zimbra
zmcontrol -v
cat /etc/hosts
cat /etc/resolv.conf
dig yourdomain mx
dig yourdomain any
host `hostname` <- note backticks and not single quotes
