Default shared calendar functionality with edit permissions

Hi,

I'm currently evaluating zimbra as a communication platform.
One of the functionalities required is a shared calendar for a defined group of users to view, create and edit events.

The zimbra demo server is currently down, but as far as I remember correctly, there is an option to share calendars with 3 permission models (admin, read-only, can't remember the last one). Looking at these options, it looks like an view/create/edit-only option is not possible. Does anyone have experience with shared calender and can help me out?

Thanks,
Deniz

Just edit is not possible, that is right. It is either view or view/edit/create/delete/accept/refuse (the third one is also admin, but can also manage the shared folder).

Best regards,

Menno Pieters

Hi Menno,
Thanks for your post.
Does delete only stand for deleting events and not the whole calendar. And what does accept/refuse allow?
The functionality I need is that members of the calender can basically do whatever they want with events in that calendar (view/edit/create/delete), but not perform any changes to the main properties of the calendar (name, sharing options, etc). Would the view/edit/create/delete/accept/refuse option you mention implement this?
Thanks,
Deniz

It means deleting events... Accept/refuse means accepting or refusing an invitation (from someone else). I guess the functionionality matches your needs. That option view/edit/create/delete/accept/refuse is what you need. The more advananced "admin" can do a little more, e.g. resharing, etc.

Regards,

Menno
